Hello everyone! My name is Mateo Gonzales and I am a 16 year old singer from Los Angeles, California. For as long as I can remember, music has been my true passion and has helped me grow through so many endeavors.
When I was six years old, I started doing musical theater at a local youth theater group. I fell in love with performing, and have been singing ever since. I began doing theater and voice professionally, broadening my horizons and teaching me so much.
My drive to pursue music really kicked in when I was introduced to a cappella music my freshman year of high school. I had been admiring my school's co-ed 16-person a cappella group called Unstrumental in the years before I entered high school. I made it my goal to get in the group, and I was honored to have gotten in my first year. My experience with Unstrumental had been nothing short from incredible, and I was eager to be doing more a cappella. I later auditioned and was accepted into a group in the Los Angeles area called Legacy, directed by Rob Dietz. I have learned so much from being in these two groups, and I want to learn so much more.

I recently auditioned for a musical summer intensive called A Cappella Academy, and I am honored and incredibly excited to have been accepted! However, the costs of this camp add up to $1995, which I feel is too much for me to ask of my parents.
Therefore, I am turning to you all. Whatever you can give so that I can experience this wonderful opportunity, I would greatly appreciate. If you are unable to donate, feel free to spread the word about this to any family and friends.
