novelist; poet, playwright, essayist Marvin X. Professor Ellen McLarney came to Oakland to interview Marvin X for his chapter in her forthcoming book on black Islamic writers.

On Saturday, December  7, 2019, there will be a benefit to raise money to print and reprint the books of Marvin X.
The event will be a conversation with Dr Cornel West and Marvin X at St. Paul's Church Berkeley. Tickets available on Eventbrite for$25.00. A donation to this GoFundMe campaign of $100.00 or more will get you a ticket to the VIP reception to meet and greet the authors.

Marvin X has given over a half century of his life to the Black Arts/Black Liberation Movement. He has endured exile, jail, prison, banned from teaching at universities and colleges , yet , he remains tenacious, indefatigable and peripatetic.
