Martina Fusco Medical Funds

As a new father of a 16 month old son, I can only imagine the stress, uncertainty and fear that overcomes a parent when they are informed their child has cancer. Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Damiano and Paola Fusco, a terribly kind and warm hearted couple through work together at our company SiteZeus. Last week, their daughter, Martina, a beautiful and wonderfully autistic ten year old, who loves to spend time with her mother, father and older brother Marco, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Sarcoma, usually found in bones and connective tissues. There is no good time to receive and digest this news as both a parent or patient, but through the Christmas and holidays can only be more burdensome. Martina and her family were planning on taking a long awaited (its been five years) trip back to Italy where both sides of her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins still live, however this news requires a swift and effective medial plan to confront the cancer head on. On the positive side, the cancer is still contained to her foot, so the plan is to start Chemotherapy immediately on January 4th. Whether it’s $5 or $5,000, every dollar counts towards helping take the upcoming financial burden off the Fusco family.
