Martha's Medical Fund

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  First, a bit about who I am:

I am a 32 year old man living in the north of rural Maine, trying (like most of us) to make a living.  I am starting this campaign on behalf of my sister, for medical expenses primarily relating to deep personal issues that she has.  I am hoping to use this to help pay for a battery of physical tests, psychiatriatic appointments - and regular therapy.

As you can tell from the photo, she is a beautiful young lady who is currently struggling with a very difficult situation.  Without going too deep into detail, she is in recovery from very, very deep trauma.  It isn't easy to get health insurance these days - and neither of us have it.  She may be able to get it through work in time, she just needs to hold out long enough.

We are both fortunate enough to be employed - but medical care and therapy are very expensive and my family has been struggling with it for a long time.  I vow that your donations will be used wisely for her care and that you will be making a difference in the life of one of the best, smartest, kindest, strongest people I have ever known.

The reason the fundraising goal is set so high is that I am concerned about future job stability for both of us, we both have issues that make regular jobs hard to hold down - though we are managing for now.

Regarding time limits - I could really use some funding as soon as yesterday.  An appointment with a psychiatrist can cost upwards of 300 dollars - and we don't have that.  Regular therapy can cost 75 dollars a week or more - we don't have that either.

I can offer only my deepest gratitude and respect and a solemn vow to pay it forward.  I am also a writer (more a hobby than a profession currently) and would be glad to hear from anyone needing help with a little writing.

Honestly, I will be deeply and eternally grateful for anything at all you can contribute.  No amount is too small.  Thank you so very much.
