Raised by 400 people in 8 months
Marly and her 4 year old son Nathan were struck by a car Thursday evening,  November 15th while crossing the street from his daycare in Peabody, MA.   They both suffered traumatic injuries are now at Mass General Hospital in critical condition.

Because Marly is a self employed house cleaner, she will not be able to provide for her family.  Her husband's ability to work will also be impacted due to their hospitalization.  Please help the Araujo-Viera  family in a time of great need, any contribution is greatly appreciated.

Marly has asked me to update everyone on how they are doing. She wanted me to thank everyone for their support and donations, and especially the prayers. She is so touched by the outpouring you all have given her. She asked that everyone please keep praying.
Everyone is home and adjusting to their new normal. Nathan endured some very big surgeries for facial and hand reconstruction, as well as surgery to his brain. He is an amazingly strong boy and pulled through them. They are now doing their best to care for him and get him behavioral therapy for some cognitive issues he's having. There is a program at Mass General that they are waiting to get a space in. While this is a setback, Marly is trying to stay positive that he will be able to relearn things and that the rest of his brain will be able to compensate for any areas that were damaged. He will also need to undergo more surgeries in about 6 months for his eye and nose.
Marly suffered a concussion and still has the effects of lingering pain and gets tired easily. She has been trying to get back to work, and is doing what she can.
She just continues to pray and rely on her faith to get through.
This is going to be a long, slow road for them. They will need your prayers and support more than ever. Please consider donating again. They are trying hard to keep everything together and survive, but they need financial assistance as well as prayers. Thank you again for your donations and please keep them in you thoughts.
