Mark Tesch and Michelle Jerome’s Home Rebuild

On August 6th, Mark and Michelle watched their newly purchased retirement home burn to the ground. They had relocated to Twisp after years as Chelan residents to slow down and enjoy semi-retirement. They had fallen in love with the Twisp community and knew they needed to relax and retire there. In May, they completed the move and immediately got involved with the community and all it has to offer.  It’s just who they are to jump right in and be apart of the community they live in. It was nice to see Mark slow down a bit and relax. He just was hired at the local Montessori School for the upcoming school year, and looks forward to what he loves most...teaching the next generation. They are the couple that ALWAYS volunteers, always goes the extra mile, are more than willing to give you the shirt of their backs, cook you a homemade meal, and always want to give back. They now need our help. 

Sadly and suddenly on August 6th they got a call from their neighbor around 6:30 pm that their home was on fire.  Despite the AMAZING efforts of the Okanogan County Fire District 6 firefighters, the fire spread quickly and with a heavy heart I share that they have lost everything.

Many of you have already flooded us with calls, emails and texts on how to help. At this stage, they are just waiting on the insurance adjuster and can’t do much. We’ve set this account up for their future needs as they spend the next year rebuilding their home and all that will entail. Service donations and materials are gladly accepted as well.
