Our business is "Mari's Farm".
We started as a hobby farm with the idea of growing the best food we could and as clean as can be. Our reputation has grown a great deal and now we are needing to expand to accommodate our market.
Needless to say, we are no longer a hobby farm.
We are sitting here right at the new 2017 year just about to start & scratching our heads figuring out costs of everything we are going to need... and then... it came to me, we could start a campaign to raise the much needed funds here that will jump-start our year and relieve some of the concern building over the seemingly huge burden going from a micro farm to a mini farm.
As some may understand without needing the mention, agricultural farms have large financial burdens in the start of their season. For us, we could start purchasing the bulk of our needed supplies from January through March and then sometimes a little here and there throughout the remaining growing season.
I have always had a great love for clean and thoughtful agriculture. It was the way I was raised. It would mean a great deal to me and my wife if we could start the growing season out on firm ground and a bit less worry about how to cover the costs of starting the largest project of our lives.
