My name is Mario Williams and I am a Sophomore at Kean University in Union, NJ. I am a global business major with a 3.3 GPA that is hungry for knowledge and always ready to listen and learn so that I can better myself as a person and a student.
I was recently selected as 1 of only 15 students at my university to spend a semester abroad in Wenzhou, China! The application process took into consideration my overall GPA, campus involvement, 2 teacher recommendations, an essay and disciplinary record.
I am looking to raise this money to go towards my tuition & fees, room, board, meals and textbooks.
I am extremely grateful for this opportunity that I have been blessed with. To go off and study business in a foreign country is like a dream come true and this will definitely give me a leg up on the competition after getting my degree and start my climb to the top of the corporate ladder. I will make the absolute best of this because I know there are countless people that will do anything to have the same opportunity. I also owe it to myself to use my gifts to become the successful business that I have always wanted to be. I also owe it to my family because of the countless sacrifices they have made to open doors of opportunities for me and all they prayers that they have sent my way. They have brought me a long way from Jamaica to where I am now, and I will not disappoint them (or myself)
