Miss Ginny White Peacock was admitted into the ICU early last week with severe pain in her abdomen.  The doctors began surgery for what they thought might be a ruptured appendix, however, that was not the case.  She was diagnosed with Toxic Shock Syndrome.  Ginny remains in the ICU with very serious complications with no release from the hospital in sight.  Mike has been at her side, all day everyday, and thus is not able to be at work.   Ginny does not have medical insurance.

This family and their Broken Spoke business has meant a great deal to a lot of people in Austin over the years and now, this family needs our help.  Ginny and Mike have 2 young sons, James Lamar and Jackson.

This beloved legendary small business is now down 2 key employees.  Between all of us, we can give relief to this family and show them the love and support that they so desperately need right now.

Thank you and God Bless y'all for your generosity!

This is a picture of Ginny and post that Mike Peacock made just after Ginny's surgery, Friday, November 23rd, on Facebook:
Just want to update how Ginny is doing. This being one of the hardest posts we have had to make. While Ginny was in ICU, they used drugs called vasopressors, which constrict the blood vessels which leave the fingers, toes, hands and feet with poor blood supply. Ultimately, gangrene set in. This morning Ginny went into surgery and they amputated the finger tips on her right hand and all fingers to the first knuckle. Ginny remains in good spirits and with a positive outlook on life even with more surgeries ahead of her on her feet. Unfortunately, beating the fatal infection is only the start of a long journey to recovery. Ginny and I, and all of the family want to thank everyone for all the messages, fundraising, offers of help, prayers and good wishes.
