March for Science GSO

Donation protected
March for Science-Greensboro is partnering with several organizations, bands, and citizen scientists to organize a fun and safe viewing of the first US-only total solar eclipse in 99 years! We are seeking funds to purchase viewing glasses. As you will remember, when we raised funds for the March for Science on Earth Day , April 22, we were very frugal and had funds left over. Those funds were put to use as scholarships for Science Summer Camp and as "seed money" for our Education Initiative. You will learn more about the Education Initiative at the Solar Eclipse! Event.
The Greensboro organizers are volunteers,  so all donations will be used to go directly to the creation and implementation of the event. Funds will be vital before August 21, for costs including publicizing, acquiring special eclipse viewing glasses, and renting equipment for the event at LeBauer Park in downtown Greensboro.

We will not be charging fees or taking donations at the event, so please consider donating on this site so that we can provide an event that anyone who is excited about the solar eclipse may attend for free.

Please join us at the event and let's keep this family-friendly so our future scientists can attend.
