Checks can be made payable to: The Marc Fucarile Fund, c/o Stoneham ME Federal Credit Union, 40 Pine St., Stoneham, MA 02180...On Monday, April 15th my brother Marc Fucarile (pictured on the right), like so many others in New England, celebrated Patriots' Day by cheering on the amazing people that are Boston Marathoners. However, the local holiday and world-famous sports event ended tragically for Marc and his friends.

After the explosions at the finish line, he is now in the Intensive Care Unit at Mass General. His right leg has been amputated above the knee and they are still trying to save his severely damaged left leg. He has first, second and third-degree burns on over half of his body and shrapnel litters most of his body (the most serious being his heart).

Marc's entire family remains optimistic and has not left his side. He is so loved by and important to his friends and family, especially his 5-year-old son, Gavin. We are rallying to support Marc, and any help you can provide - kind words, a prayer, or a donation of any amount - is gratefully accepted by his family.

If you prefer to make donations by cash or check (please make checks payable to: The Marc Fucarile Fund), they can be mailed to or dropped off at:

Please keep Marc in your thoughts and prayers today as he has ANOTHER surgery on his left leg. Unfortunately, he continues to be in excruciating pain daily and the doctors’ hope with each surgery it will help with the pain and he will be able to keep his leg. We are all so proud of him for enduring all these surgeries with the hope that he does not become a double amputee. We love you brother. XOXO

We wanted to share some happy news with all of you. Marc and I tied the knot on April 17th 2014, one year and two days since our lives were changed forever. We are looking forward to celebrating happy memories that week instead of focusing on the bad. Thank you all for your continued love and support. We appreciate it more than you will ever know...
All our love,

The doctors said Marc's surgery went well! When he came out of recovery he was in the expected pain & discomfort associated with this type of painful procedure. He is looking forward to going home to recover.

No one should ever have to go through as many surgeries as he has. He is the strongest person we know! We are all so proud of him for all he has & continues to endure. Thank you again for all the positive thoughts, prayers, love & support to Marc, Jen, Gavin & our entire family! XO

Please keep Marc in your thoughts and prayers today as he goes in for his first of two painful ear surgeries! Unfortunately the surgeries will not make his hearing any better but are necessary to close the holes in his ear drums which will help prevent infections. We love you Marc! XO

John 9:2-7 And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him."
