Marcellus Bowen Medical Funds
Donation protected
Our son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Marcellus (Cellus) Bowen, who is 15 years young was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia (SAA) this week and is in an immediate need of a bone marrow transplant. It started out as headaches and high fevers, and led to him spitting up blood.
Aplastic Anemia also known as Bone Marrow Aplasia is a rare and serious condition in which the body stops producing enough new blood cells. The result is feeling fatigued with a higher risk of infections and uncontrolled bleeding. Cellus has to stay in the hospital, so he doesn't risk the chance of catching infections since his body is no longer capable of fighting infections off. He is no longer able to play football, attend school, and enjoy the simple joys of being a 15 year old. His diagnosis’s is a severe case which means he is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. He has already gone through multiple blood/platelet transfusions which have not upheld as hoped.
Due to the severity, he is being transferred to a hospital that is two hours away from his family. Therefore, his family has to take off of work to visit him, decreasing family income. Furthermore, once he receives a bone marrow transplant, he will spend at least 3 months in the hospital.
Any donations to Cellus's "GoFundMe" account will be used to pay for medical bills, finding a bone marrow match, traveling expenses, and ensure financial stability so the family can visit their son and brother. Any donation given will go a long way and be much appreciated. If unable to donate, we would greatly appreciate prayers for Cellus and his family while he continues to fight against this severe disease.
Thank you in advance for love, prayers, support, and any donations.
