At The Vet
-----------------------------------------------------------
On Oct 26, we took Marble in to the vet. The previous morning, she threw up a bunch of dog food and had been laying around the house since. At first, we thought she just over indulged in the dog food, but she just didn't seem right.
We called the vet, the next appoint wasn't until 7:30 pm. We got to the vet at 6:30 pm. At first the vet thought she may have pancreatitis and want to do an ultrasound and blood work. After 30 minutes to an hour later, the vet came back and said her white blood cell count was high as well as one of her kidney values.
The vet said that treatment was needing to be done via IV but since Marble also had congestive heart failure, she needed to be monitored to make sure the fluids weren't backing up into her lungs.  recommendation was for her to stay about two days for treatment.
So we said goodnight at about 8:30 pm and headed home. We were going to call in the morning to check on her.
The next morning, we got sad news. Marble's heart gave out around midnight. They tried all they could to bring her back but she was unresponsive.

First Meeting
------------------------------------------------------------
Marble was MY first dog. My family has always had at least one dog. After our last family dog passed in 2004, I wanted to get a dog of my own.
I saw a puppy on PetFinder that I wanted, 2 hours away. I grabbed some friends and we made the drive. When we got there, the puppy I wanted was already adopted. The rescue suggested I go up the road to the kill shelter and see if any dogs there interested me. I did and that is where I saw Marble. Her kennel name was "JellyBean." I signed some papers and agreed to come back a few days later after her spay.

My Helper
------------------------------------------------------------
Marble was always there for me. After being discharged from the Marines because I broke my feet, she tried her best to help.
If I was wobbly on my feet, she would swoop in to try and steady me.
Going up and down stairs, she made sure to stay beside me and let me hold on to her.
When going for a walk, she made sure she was beside me in case I needed help.
If I was depressed, she was there to try and cheer me up.

Distribution
-------------------------------------------------------------
The money raised will go directly to her final bill. Any monies left will be donated to the bill of another person who is needing financial help for their pet.
