Hello everyone!
My name is Michael Payne, and I have a wonderful "opera"tunity ahead of me! I am a masters student studying vocal performance at Missouri State University, planning to graduate in May of 2017. I have just been accepted into the prestigious Manhattan Opera Studio summer program.
This program will provide a chance to perform a major role in an opera (Zarastro in Die Zauberflöte), weekly music and repertoire coachings by working professionals, and a spot to be showcased in an opera showcase at Carnegie Hall. Summer programs like these are also a building block to a successful singing career.
Here is what your donations will go towards:
Tuition
Travel expenses
Housing accommodations
Food
The tuition totals out to $2600 and is needed to be paid in full by April 10th. My first payment of $1000 is due February 25th. The second payment of $1000 due March 25th, and the final $600 due April 10th. I fully believe that with your help, I can achieve this goal. If 50 people gave $50, we'd be extremely close to meeting the tuition payments!
The remaining $1400 would go towards housing, food, transportation expenses (plane, subway, busses, etc).
While growing up in a small town in Eastern Tennessee, I had a dream of becoming a singer. I've worked my entire life to get to this point, and now the fruits of my labor are beginning to blossom. Now I need your help in fulfilling those dreams. Please consider contributing to my future!
