Manchester Survivors Choir

This is our story, 2 ladies who founded it and over 40 members who are a part of it. We are all survivors of the Manchester Terrorist Attack that happened on May 22nd 2017. We meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday to sing together, share each other’s stories and support each other. We are the Manchester Survivors Choir.
We’ve been asked to do some performances, one of which is to raise money for survivors of terrorist attacks. One of them being on May 27th, a charity football match dedicated to our angels, and survivors and their families. All proceeds of this will go to the Manchester emergency fund. Something which we’d all be privileged to be a part of. Many of our families come from wales, Scotland, lankarshire, Leeds, just to get to our choir because it means so much to them to be a part of something so important.
For this event, we are also hoping to have matching tshirts to raise awareness not only of our choir (for other survivors to join) but raise awareness of the importance of coming together and supporting each other after tragedy.
So we are hoping for a helping hand, to raise funds to cover travel costs for all our members, and hopefully T-shirts for our choir.
In the near future we hope to become a registered charity, in order to do this we need to have a regular income of at least £5000 a year.
If you can help in any way possible, I know every single member of our choir will be eternally grateful.
Having a safe place to come every two weeks, to not only sing but to lean on each other, means the world to us all. It’s been life changing having this choir.
We were struck with darkness but we hope to spread light with our voices.
