Parents Grieving The Loss Of Infants

Donation protected
Over 23,000 infants die in the United States every year, 11,300 of them die on the day that they were born. Make a donation today in memory of a baby or child you've loved that has died too young. In doing so, you'll help some of the who are going through the worst tragedy imaginable.

Losing a child isn't something that anyone should have to experience, ever. What makes matters worse is that when a baby dies, often times mothers, fathers and family have a less than positive experience in the hospital, grieving their sweet baby.

A Cuddlecot System is a small, but highly impactful thing we can do as a community to allow an opportunity for parents to have a better experience, creating an environment that is supportive of loving memories in the hospital. The Cuddlecot allows for the baby to remain in the room with the parents for up to three days, avoiding decomposition and painful memories of their sweet baby in a body bag, or the morgue, and even the pain of just having to wait for someone to bring their baby up from the morgue.

Grieving parents deserve the time to grieve in a way that is the quickest and most comfortable as possible, as everything around them will become uncomfortable.

While working with Jennifer Reisner, the bereavement coordinator for Banner Desert and Banner Cardon's Children's Medical Center - They have one Cuddlecot system that was donated recently which they have actively used 4+ times monthly since. Banner Desert has multiple infant losses on a monthly basis due to the severity of high risk deliveries and NICU services they offer. During our discussion, she believes that this may be the ONLY Cuddlecot in use in all of Arizona. There are two other Banner hospitals that are categorized as Level 3 facilities, (Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix, formerly known as Good Sam downtown and Banner Thunderbird) and they are in desperate need for at least one Cuddlecot system for each of these hospitals. Each of these hospitals work with the sickest moms, most fragile babies, and highest risk deliveries- they need this medical equipment, and we need your help to get it to them.

Each device costs $2764.00.
On behalf of the Midnight Mammacitas, please consider helping us reach our 2016 - 2017 fundraising goal of supplying these two hospitals with the grieving devices they need.

All funds will be directly donated to Banner with specific instructions for where the funds should be allocated. There is a great warranty that comes with the device and this will ensure that the hospital will receive all benefits of purchase.

Thank you!
