Mamaleelu Moves on Up
"Mamaleelu Moves on Up" is the title of this campaign. Who of a certain age does not remember singing along to this catchy tune from the sitcom The Jeffersons? George Jefferson was the epitome of the American Dream. He started with nothing and built a successful enterprise, which helped him and his family live a better life.
My name is Maliesha Pullano and I am the owner and operator of Mamaleelu Cold Brew LLC, Mamaleelu is a woman owned/black owned business that was started with a grant in 2014 and has since continued to grow. I produce a bottled concentrated cold brew coffee which is sold in a few retail outlets.
You can hear about my beginnings here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wn3RRRl0Y9U
As many a small business owner knows, it takes years to actually make a profit and start making a salary, in the mean time we all need to be able to support ourselves.
My solution to supporting myself and my family as my business grows? Create another one of course!
The money that I raise in this campaign will go to help me open up a small coffee kiosk in Kalamazoo, MI. The kiosk will be in a well established location, and will serve cold brew coffee, espresso style drinks i.e lattes, mochas etc. We will also serve sandwiches and quick breakfast options. I will pay myself a small wage in order to make ends meet, and as my other business grows I will add an employee or two.
To make this opportunity a reality, I need a few things to help me get started. The funds will be used to get the proper licenses ($700), a required three compartment sink ($1000), misc equipment ($600), signage ($300)and security deposit ($400). Whew! With your financial support and my work equity, we can add to the story of the successful American Dreamer!

If there is one thing I know about myself it is that I persist! #shepersisted
Love to you all!
With laughter in my heart,
