Paul and I met online back in March. What started as a good friendship has blossomed into the most amazing love story I have ever known. His support of me has kept me fighting through one of the most difficult periods of my life. My life has been filled with one bad thing after another and this is the only thing that keeps me going at the end of the day. He is the reason I get up and go to work each day. He always tells me even if I can’t push myself to go to work due to a bad mental health day, he will stay with me even if I lose my job. It’s because of this I fight hard to go to work. I want to get him here and start living a normal life so we can start a family. While many people are seeing their loved ones at the holidays, he and I will be separated while we wait for this process to begin.
I conquered my fears and financial issues and made it to England to meet him. It was excruciatingly difficult to come back, knowing thousands of miles, almost all of which happen to be an ocean, was now separating us once again.
In order to get Paul here, we need at least $535 to start the K1 Fiancé Visa process. Once the initial application is filed, it will take 4-6 months to get the whole thing processed. He could be here by this Spring if we start now!! Along with the $535, there are a few additional fees. The Embassy fee is about $265 and the final major cost is for Form I-485 (between $1,100 and $1,200), which would allow Paul and I to begin the process of him becoming a permanent resident. The most important and crucial amount as of right now is the $535 but he will need to marry me within 90 days of entering the country in order to stay.
This would mean so much to me. If every person who reads this would donate at least two or three dollars, we could make our dream a reality.
