Maker SPace SPark Workshop
SPark Workshop is a Artist and Maker Space in Sunset Park Brooklyn, dedicated to providing studio space for some of the louder and messier arts. Our space welcomes all disciplines with an emphasis on providing the tools and community for sculpting, wood working, metal working and other pursuits. We have recently moved to a new, larger location inside the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal that can serve more artists and craftspeople than before but, we need your help. The money you donate will go to building out more spaces and upgrading the shared workshops with the tools needed for creating fantastic works of art.
We currently have 30 active members that are truly talented and love calling SPark their home. Since moving into BAT in September 2018 19 studios have been built and the woodworking workshop is up and running. We are also now able to offer a new membership option of 100 sqft. cubicle space. Eight cubicles have already been built and are ready to be occupied.
SPark wants to grow and add even more talent to its community. Our ultimate goal is to offer 28 studios, 32 cubicles, 16 lockers, a metal shop (with mill, lathe, English wheel, sheet metal break, press and welding table!) and a classroom space. With your help, we can get this done. Please consider donating to SPark Workshop. Not only for our current and future members, but to enable us to enrich to our Brooklyn community with classes and other outreach opportunities.
