My dear friends Lou and Karla are dealing with something that no parent should ever have to deal with; today they got the devastating news that their adorable, sweet and kind-hearted son Luis has an inoperable brain tumor called a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.  Luis is fighting a battle that no child should have to fight - the fight against cancer. Unfortuntately there is no cure for his cancer.

Lou and Karla began to notice that their son was complaining of headaches and that he was tilting his  head to the side and squiting his eye. They brought him to the doctor and went for an MRI where they got the devastating news. He will be undergoing radiation to attempt to shrink the tumor and give them more time with their little angel.

Luis is taking all of this like a brave little man. There are many more tests and treatements ahead.

We have started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden of his parents, Lou and Karla. Over the next days, weeks, and months ahead they will need to be at countless doctor appointments, hospital stays and treatments. As you can imagine the normal costs of every day living such as mortgage, food, gas, car, and medical costs can be astronomical.

This will enable Luis' parents be able to concentrate on him, to help make some of his dreams and wishes to come true, and to help with the medical expenses. Let's all help to make sure that Louie gets to experience everything that he would like to while he is here with us.

From the bottom of our hearts we humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family and if possible in giving (any amount will help).

We thank you for your support and God bless each and every one of you!!

Good Afternoon everyone, First and foremost we would like to thank you all for your overwhelming support! Luis’ family is eternally grateful for all of the donations, food and prayers. Every bit helps. Luis has just finished up his six weeks of radiation treatments. The next step the family would like to take is to bring him to Mexico for treatment. Lou and Karla have been in touch with other parents of children with DIPG and this seems to be the most promising treatment. Unfortunately the treatments cost 15-30k per treatment and Luis would most likely need approximately 15 treatments. This cost doesn’t include lodging and airfare back and forth to Mexico. We are very much appreciative of all that’s been donated thus far but if you could continue to share the link, we would greatly appreciate it. One child with DIPG has no evidence of a tumor at this moment after undergoing this treatment. Let’s give Luis the best care possible. Thank you!
