Make "Americas" Mosaic

Hi, my name is Carol Pobanz and I believe that in this world of increased individualism and nationalism it's important to share a message encouraging people to think of the world from a larger perspective. Even more so, we need to go beyond thinking globally and begin to demonstrate the power of youthful solidarity and creative synergy.  Individuals, like pieces of a mosaic, can create hope when they come together.

In August 2017, the Honduras Peace Park Project will venture to Tela, Honduras to design and rebuild the El Way Peace Park. Volunteers from North, Central and South America  will work with volunteers from the local communities to create whimsical mosaics and colorful murals, and to install playground equipment and benches in accord with the theme - "There is only One America."  While caring for the needs of the community we will also be modeling our potential as national representatives cooperating for a greater good.

We are raising funds to help cover the cost of building materials. Volunteers will cover their own travel costs, accommodations and meals, so 100% of your donation will go toward project expenses. Our world desperately needs successful models of national cooperation.  Please make your donation to affirm your solidarity with others in the Americas who are working for a peaceful and cooperative tomorrow.

$25 - can buy colorful ceramic tiles to mosaic a bench

$50 - $100 - will buy materials to fix crumbling benches, or to lay pathways

$200 - will buy a slide or see-saw for the community's children 

$300 - will pay for 1/10th of the cost of building the Gazebo in the center of the park
