Maishah's Bone Marrow Procedure

Most of you know that I have been struggling with sickle cell anemia. I am thankful for medical cannabis therapy and other holistic methods I have been using, coupled with iron infusions that have minimized my hospital stays over the last few years.
A while back I began researching the possibility of undergoing a bone marrow transplant procedure, which could potentially cure my condition.
With this procedure replacement cells are infused into the patient’s bloodstream. From there, the cells find their way into the bone marrow, where they start making healthy white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets.
I have been delayed in moving forward since I was unable to find a matching donor. Today I have good news: I finally have a match willing to "loan" me some of that good marrow!  However, I will be responsible for their testing, procedure and other expenses not covered by my medical insurance.
The average life expectancy of sickle cell patients is about 50, and I am just a few years shy this. But I am determined to kick this in the butt by any means necessary!
Blessings to all who can help and blessings to those who can't. I know times are hard for everyone so any donation is greatly appreciated!
