Maggie Jean's PKU foods

Donation protected
Hey everyone!
I’ve updated the goal for another 6-7 months worth of foods! You amazing people, you!

It's STILL not easy to come and make one of these and ask people to help you feed your kid-- but when a single regular sized box of noodles cost $10, that's when you call on your village, right? While I have been trying to figure out budgeting this new, growing 4 year old's appetite into our lives, I am still struggling with it. To be completely and totally open about it-- it's almost impossible to keep up with.  Two years ago you all helped us not only be able to buy her the foods she needs, but also to help cover some of the medical costs that come with the weekly blood draws and the travel we were doing while still in Mississippi. But living in Ohio, the state covers all her formula and her doctor's appointments and even better- we aren't having to drive 2 hours one way for said appointments!
Phenylketonuria is something she will never outgrow, she will live with it her whole life. She is starting to learn the things she can and cannot have. Why not just put her on a vegetarian diet you might ask? Well, because she can't have nuts, beans, or dairy. And even some vegetables can be too high in protein for her daily count.

So here is a rundown of about what some of her foods cost monthly, and there is shipping costs on top of it.
A current $1500 goal is set, and will cover about 6 months of food.
1 box of 30 individual snack bags tortilla chip bags: $30
1- 8 oz Pea-not butter: $8.49
2lb bag of baking mix (for pancakes): $12.79
(16) frozen veggie meatballs: $20.49
12 cranberry pumpkin cookies : $12.49
(8) mini plain bagels: $12.49
(4) Veggie burgers: $11.49
Pasta: $10/box (like the size we get for $1 at Wal-Mart) 6 boxes: $56
Cereal: $7/box
Rice: $9/box
So Delicious “yogurt” 4/$6
GF waffles $4/box
1 loaf bread (~12 slices) $12
So delicious coconut milk ice cream $4/pint
coconut almond milk mix $4

And a run down of what PKU is for those of you who may not know, or may need a refresher on why it is so important for Maggie to get the proper foods. At just 9g protein a day (the same amount that's in ONE cheese stick), it's detrimental to her development to keep her diet in line as much as possible:

We can also take Venmo or checks if you don't want to deal with the pain of signing up for a gofundme.

I know this is written pretty straight forward (this tired mama isn't beating around the bush anymore). But please know we appreciate all the love and support we have gotten along the way from each and every one of you, and I will be forever grateful for the kindness you have all shown us.

Thanks again,
Shaina & Maggie
