Machiko Shimada Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
Machiko Shimada, the songbird at the Blue Wing Restaurant in Upper Lake and a popular instructor at Mendocino College, lost her home on Bartlett Mountain in the Ranch Fire. Machiko's son was born in that house and she home-schooled both of her children there. Her Mom came over from Japan and lived there with the family until her passing. The family respected the land and the wildlife and lived gently on the Earth.
This fund has been established to help our dear friend Machiko to recover from this tragedy. As sponsor of the fund, I am the owner of the Blue Wing Restaurant, where Machiko performs regularly. Many of her friends gather there regularly to enjoy her talents and sparkling optimistic personality. Machiko will use the proceeds of this fund to help her with temporary accommodations and to replace essential items lost in the fire.
