To Macedonia w Love: Refugee Crisis

My name is Samantha and I have been working in and with the international humanitarian sector for more than a decade.

I am setting off to Macedonia to volunteer at a southern border refugee camp, collect information, stories and connections from refugees fleeing Syria (and beyond).
I am starting this campaign to raise money for food, clothing, goods, water and other basic necessities. I am also seeking donations of actual goods - (medicine and warm clothing). 

I am not politically or socially partial to any side of this crisis. I simply see people in need and am moved to take action, to gain a more transformative understanding of what is taking place and to give what little I can. 

I think the most valuable part of this journey, will be the experience and first hand knowledge that I gain from being close to the crisis. I want to bring back information and individual stories that will break down the distance between "us and them."
