Local Fire Family Needs Our Help

Donation protected
On January 9th 2016 one of the Johnson County Fire Dispatchers, Stephanie (Smallwood) Thresher & Briaroaks Firefighter Adam Thresher, gave birth to their first son, Parker.

Unexpectedly, the delivery of Parker took a turn for the worse and Doctors were unable to locate a heartbeat or resuscitate.
The loss of Baby Thresher was a shock to us all and his parents will be out of work to mourn the loss of their precious boy.

This couple spends their spare time helping this community and county. Stephanie grew up at Briaroaks FD with her family & Adam has been an active volunteer for several years. Stephanie became a part-time fire dispatcher with JCESD over 3 years ago and doesn't receive benefits. Adam worked full time as an electrician but suffered an injury & broke his foot, rendering him unable to work. They have spent the past 9 months preparing their new home for the arrival of their baby boy.
Emergency Support Service has teamed up with Briaroaks FD to help Stephanie & Adam.

We are asking you to keep the Thresher family in your thoughts and prayers. If you're able to, please make a donation, in order to help with expenses and funeral cost for these young parents. Thank you.
