Max is our truly amazing huge loveable cat. He is our family. Maxwell's Silver Hammer is his full name. He is a very unique cat. He is also a rescue. He was found abandoned in a backyard and starving. He was skin and bones. I bottled fed him and we are lucky he pulled through. He has been such an amazing addition to our house. He has a very expressive face and could never harm a thing. All he ever wants is love. He is still very insecure about food.
I have to keep his bowl full and often have to show him the bag just so he knows he has plenty. He plays catch like a dog and he loves water. Every morning you can find him inside the water bowl with his toy just playing around. When I water my plants he chases the water and always comes back in soaking wet. He lays down in the bathtub. He just really likes water. He is always loving on our other cats even when they don’t want any love from him.
When he goes to sleep he sucks on a blanket as if he is still a little baby kitten. He always sleeps in our bed and has to be in the middle so he can get love from both of us. He is just so sweet. I love him as if he were one of my children.
Yesterday he went outside for a couple of hours and when he came back in he laid down and he has not moved since then. When I pet him he moans as if he is in pain. He won’t eat or drink and is getting worse very quickly. We think he had to have eaten something or gotten into something.
We never think about the expense of an emergency visit to your vet until it happens. It is like if we took our child to the er and we did not have any insurance and they said it is $1000 to save him and he will die without this and we need all the money up front before we will do anything. We only charge $200 to put him out of his misery.
It is truly an awful thing we are going through right now. We don’t have $1000 and he is my kid. We don’t know what we will do without him.
