In celebration and memory of Lynn Train - We (UCLan's Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management Classes of 2016) are raising money to celebrate the life, achievements and legacy of Lynn Train. Lynn passed peacefully on the 15th July 2016, only 2 days after some of the highest-achieving Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management BA graduations ever at the University of Central Lancashire, which she also sadly had to miss. Money raised by the fund will go to her favourite charities (see further details below).
Lynn was a very maternal figure to all the students on the UCLan Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management BA courses and worked tirelessly so that we could achieve our potential. She and her husband Rod (the Leader of the Event Management BA Course) were a united team. Always to be found together, they offered help and assistance to any student who needed it. Many of us entered into their offices feeling panicked and overwhelmed, and left again feeling reassured
Lynn believed that the students were the future, and that we had the power and ability to influence the world for the better. She always told us that we could achieve anything we wanted, should we set our minds to it. Now, let us do our part to remember her, and to help Rod as much as possible at this time.
In the words of Catherine Pulsifer, "A fact of life is that we all die, but the positive impact you have on others will be a living legacy." May Lynn's legacy endure through us who knew her, and those who didn't, long into the future.
Please donate and share.
Thank You
