We created an endowment in Dick’s name and donations in Dick's honor may be sent to the Richard E. “Dick” Morley Innovation Scholarship endowed by The International Society of Automation (ISA) [ https://isaautomation.isa.org/morleyscholarship/ ] to help bring more “geeks” like him into the world. Please check it out and let me know what you think.
This Scholarship is presently funded and with a $1 for $1 match from ISA is growing with the goal of becoming a perpetual endowment and managed by the ISA Board of Directors, at least initially and is a great tribute to Dick that I am certain he would be very proud of… he was quite a ham, as you know.
Please feel free to contact me at any time for any reason or none at all.
May God continue to Bless you and all those who knew and loved Dick.
All the best,
Charles W. Bosler Jr., CPCM
I am sorry to report that Dick Morley passed away quietly in his New Hampshire care facility earlier this evening. A legend has passed. May Dick Rest in Peace, and thanks for the memories. Please by all means spread the word far and wide to as many folks you know about this unfortunate news. For any who wish, please donate to this GoFundMe site to raise funds for both a fitting and simple granite memorial at his graveside as well as setting up a scholarship fund for some deserving student(s). Please make a contribution to his memory.
This is from Don Clark. I had lunch with Dick last Friday at his retirement home in Milford, NH, and he wanted me to be sure and relay to you all that have donated over this past year to him on GoFundMe that he sincerely appreciate all these fond gestures from his closest friends throughout the world. He's slowing down and finds it more difficult to "man his station" behind his keyboard at the virtual Barn in Milford. He's fully aware that these funds are here for him, and he's most appreciative as he's "saving them for a rainy day". Please know that his heart aches not to be able to be "at it" with you all at another Geekfest at The Barn or able to thank each of you personally. Please continue to donate what you can to support Dick for that rainy day, and know that if he were able, he'd thank ever one of you personally. Don Clark
Thanks John and Colin for your contributions! Share with your friends about Dick!
