Luna the French Bulldog's Surgery

Feb 10th, 2017 is the one year anniversary of when we brought Luna home. When my fiancé and I first saw her, we both agreed, she was perfect!
Since that time, she has had multiple heath issues that we have funded out of pocket. We noticed she had a difficult time breathing, immediately took her to the vet, and discovered surgery was needed to correct the issue. Luna recently spent November 22-27 in the ICU at MedVet in Columbus, Ohio for aspiration pneumonia post Staphylectomy, Everted Laryngeal Saccules removal, and Tonsillectomy. She developed the aspiration pneumonia during the procedure and never left the ICU. She eventually had to have a temporary tracheostomy due to the swelling. Once removed from the ventilator she had been on for a few days, she was placed in an oxygen incubator. Without MedVet, I don't think Luna would have survived. We honestly had prepared ourselves for the worst. My fiancé and I are both registered nurses, and handle emotionally stressful situations on a daily basis at work, yet nothing could have prepared us for the week she was in the ICU. The final bill for the entire stay was $7,313.48, which we payed out of pocket.
I honestly can't tell you how blessed we feel to spend each day with her after this entire ordeal. We thought this had to be it, and nothing else could possibly happen...
Today, we took luna back to the vet because she has not been eating, she's walking weird, has been having issues holding her bladder, and seems to be in pain. The vet did an exam and exam and stated she has a congenital spinal issue and will need surgery again. The vet stated she would need an MRI to see the extent of what is wrong, but confirmed at this point she has hemivertebrae "butterfly vertebrae". The vet stated that if not corrected, paralysis is almost guaranteed with time. We spoke with MedVet in Columbus and we were quoted the surgery would be a minimum $5,500 to $6,000 without any complications. This is not including the rehab she will need.
At this point, my fiancé and I don't have the money to give her the surgery she needs. We are both students with one year left in our Masters of Science in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner program. With the loans for school, bills, and past surgery we just payed for, we simply can not afford the surgery. I ask that you give anything you can, no matter how small, to help us fund Luna's surgery. She means the world to us. We just want to see her happy.
Thank you for your consideration,
John
