The Lynn Lucas Middle School Honor Band (Willis, TX) has been invited to perform at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis this March! What a huge honor and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students! Being accepted involves recording three pieces in a live performance setting, submitting those recordings and paperwork, and then being evaluated by a panel of expert bandmasters from across the country. This is the first time in our band's decades-long history that a group has been invited to an event of this magnitude.
Considering the expense of out of state travel and that 76% of our school population receives Free/Reduced Lunch assistance, our program is in need of financial support to make the trip to Indianapolis possible. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Deposits for travel and lodging are due quickly! All funds raised will go directly towards these expenses. Please share this post as much as you can!
