The Rogue Valley’s own Larry Neal has been hospitalized since Valentine’s Day (over 50 days now) and dreams of returning home to his wife and his own bed.
His diagnosis of an extremely rare neurological cancer (glioblastoma multiforme) has dealt his family a severe blow and we need you to help provide assistance in bridging the enormous six month gap before disability and other forms of assistance can even kick in. Larry faces a long, uphill battle with daily radiation and eventually chemotherapy...a cruel irony for a generous man who has given so much of himself for decades. Please join the listeners of Q100.3 and the radio stations of Bicoastal Media in helping Larry and Linda in maintaining some degree of normalcy in a very turbulent time, allowing them to work exclusively on his care and not worry constantly about the financial pressures.
As the longest tenured Rogue Valley radio host, Larry was the very first DJ on KRWQ when the station signed on in August of 1980, and through 2017 has been the afternoon drive voice of the station 37 years later. Larry Neal remains a credible and honored public personality. Multiple generations have come to know Larry’s warm voice and trustworthy smile…his dedication to his wife Linda, daughters Kari and Laci, and four grandkids. Larry is an incredibly proud and emotional man whose selfless service to our community is immeasurable. He created the Radiothon that has raised over $1,000,000 with Q100.3 listeners and sponsors for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and aided dozens of other promotional partners in the Rogue Valley.
