On August 17, little Logan, just 2 months shy of his 3rd birthday, was critically injured in an accident on his family's farm when his head got stuck in the window of a vehicle. He has been fighting for his life since. He has shown little response to numerous tests, his brain has shown low levels of functioning due to being without oxygen, and he has experienced convulsions. While constantly at his bedside, remembering their joyful, loving, energetic boy, his family has been praying for a miracle.

By mid-day Tuesday (Aug. 22), all indications from his doctors suggested that Logan's miracle will be in helping others. Logan's parents, Drew and Lisa Vanderkleed, have signed the organ donor paperwork and are preparing to share their son's energy and life with other babies in urgent need.

The Vanderkleed family is facing substantial expenses from the medical care and impending funeral arrangements for Logan. They have been incredibly caring and supportive to so many people, loving and serving friends and strangers alike in any way they can. Now we want to support the Vanderkleed family in their time of need.

As baby Logan and the Vanderkleed family have been a blessing to the world, we have an opportunity to bless them.

We're hoping to raise as much money as possible to help the Vanderkleed's with Logan's medical expenses and whatever else they are faced with (hopefully recovery and therapy, but possibly funeral expenses).

The Vanderkleeds have been training at Exercise Inc for over 10 years. Exercise Inc will match all donations for the Vanderkleeds, up to a maximum of $2,500. All money raised will be sent directly to the Vanderkleeds, and Exercise Inc will not see a penny.

I want to say thank you to every one of our clients and friends who stepped up to help the Vanderkleed family during this tragic time in their lives. The loss of their son, Logan, is an event that will change them forever. I know that many of you prayed, reached out and gave financially to support this family during this critical time.

Our mission at Exercise Inc is to help people. We try to do that in ways that go beyond making them stronger and healthier. When I found out what happened to the Vanderkleeds, I thought we could at least help them with their financial burden. I felt like challenging our clients to match our donation up to $2,500 dollars would be a great way to help them with medical bills and other expenses. My goal was to raise $5,000.

I was absolutely blown away by the generosity of our clients, our coaches and our friends. At this moment our Go Fund Me page has raised $10,125. That does not count the $2,500 check Exercise Inc already gave to the Vanderkleeds. I feel very fortunate that our company has such amazing clients and team members.

If you would still like to do something for the Vanderkleed family, or if you would like to continue following their story, their Facebook page remains active. Several individuals and businesses are donating proceeds to the Vanderkleeds from the sale of a variety of goods and services. The page also continues to add stories of remembrance for Logan, examples of how the Vanderkleeds have been touched by others through their pain and ways others are being encouraged through this situation.

Thanks to all of you who gave either financially, through your prayers, or by posting some encouraging words. Also, thank you for being part of our Exercise Inc family.

Stay Strong,

Bo Railey

This picture was posted on the Love For Logan Facebook page just after 7 pm last night. Logan showed how strong he is even at such a young age, continuing to fight for his life. Sadly, Logan passed away early this morning. His mom posted the following update soon after:

"Drew, Logan's dad, was holding Logan while 20 friends and family members were singing praise and worship songs together in his hospital room. I felt a strong urge to hold Logan. He just wanted his mommy. Moments after I got him, he took his last breath. At 1:07 a.m., Logan went to be with the Lord. We are comforted knowing he is the best place possible. It will be hard for sure though... Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for all of us, especially his sister Kendra. You all say I'm strong, but you are all the strong ones. Praise be to God in the Highest!"

Thanks to everyone who has donated to our Go Fund Me campaign for Logan and the Vanderkleed family. We are humbled by the outpouring of love and support from our Exercise Inc family. We are truly blessed to be part of such an amazing team.

So far we have raised over $5,000! Exercise Inc will add $2,500 to that total. We are keeping the campaign open if you would still like to donate. Logan spent 7 days at Riley Hospital for Children. We want to help this family as much as possible. The Vanderkleeds could also use lots of prayer support during this difficult time.

Please keep the Vanderkleeds in your thoughts and prayers. We want to surround this family with all the love and support we can give.

Logan brought thousands of people together during his last few days. He helped all of us realize how precious life is. Thank you for whatever support you provide - whether that be prayers, thoughts or financial gifts.
