There’s no “I” in Cancer

Donation protected

This is Chelsea Miller. Since the moment Chelsea found out that she was a carrier of the BRCA1 gene, making her a high risk candidate for breast cancer, she wasted no time in being proactive in her survival. She made the decision to have a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy to reduce her 87% chance of getting breast cancer to 5%. Taking all necessary steps towards her decision, she prepared herself for the big day and on July 16th, had both breasts removed, only to learn that sometime between preparing for the day and the actual surgery, her body had already begun growing a small tumor in her right breast. From there she has gone on to have 5 lymph nodes removed to prevent any possible spreading of cancer cells. The tumor was small, but powerful, as it grew very quickly. Her cancer was diagnosed as Stage 1, Grade 3, Triple Negative HR2 and she will undergo chemotherapy as an additional safety precaution in the next month or so.

By being an advocate for her health, getting informed and showing tremendous bravery, she literally saved her own life and beat cancer before she even knew she had it. While the choice was absolutely the right one, it has also been financially stressful and will continue to be as she carry’s out the rest of her journey. We are setting up this go fund me page to help Chelsea and her family pay for her medical bills, fertility treatment, chemo, additional surgeries, and all of those beautiful new wigs she’ll rock, when she loses her hair.

We feel incredibly honored to know you Chelsea Miller, your bravery and your ability to always choose life, to the fullest, every time. The amount of love, support and kindness she has been shown thus far has been life changing and I know how grateful she is every moment for all of the generous and loving people she has in her life. Please help us continue to support Chelsea in her journey to recovery by donating.

To pay it forward, any additional money raised that isn't used towards Chelsea’s personal expenses, will be donated to cancer relief programs to help others in need. Thank you.
