It will be located on Frankfort Ave on one of the most thriving exciting and enjoyable streets in Louisville. It's called Louisville Rock Shop and it's my dream. When you walk through the doors you will be greeted with the wonderful aroma of essential oils. You will hear the sound of a waterfall and you will see beautiful specimens of nature. My hope is that you will love being there so much you will return over and over again. Each time you enter the doors you will be greeted by a smiling face - a loving person who has chosen to be there to help you find that special stone or piece of jewelry to personally inspire you or give as a gift to someone else.
Hi! My name is Jill, and I am the owner of Louisville Rock Shop. I have loved these beautiful specimens all of my life. In the 80's I was privileged to be part owner of Albert and Mine Company on Bardstown Rd. Now, after all these years, my heart is calling out once again to open the doors to a shop that contains inspiration, love, and beautiful crystals.
My dream is to grow into a place where children can come and learn about rocks - how they are formed in the earth and how we mine them - to learn how we can take a raw mineral that’s not pretty to the eye and turn it into a beautiful, shiny stone, or piece of jewelry. My hope is to have a space for some rock digging and exploring and then learn about the specimens that were found. It brings me great joy to share with the Louisville community how abundantly blessed we will be to have these precious crystals right at our fingertips when the door opens to Louisville Rock Shop.
My focus is to open the doors to a whole new world for many who have never felt the joy of using crystals to heal. Many of us enjoy working with the healing energy of crystals, and it would bring me great joy to provide these tools right here in Louisville. There are so many ideas forming in my mind and heart and they are for all of us.
I need your help to open the doors to this beautiful shop. I am asking for a donation from you. My goal is to raise $7,000. After that, it’s up to all of us - you, your family, and your friends - to spread the word and visit the shop often. Be a part of the Louisville Rock Shop.
