Support My World Record Attempt

Originally I thought I was going for the record, "Longest Crochet Chain." But, after e-mailing back and forth with Guinness, I am now making my attempt as "Longest Finger Knitting." This is a different record which is for a chain made completely by hand, such as mine.

I am raising money to officially attempt the record for Longest Finger Knitting. Here's the story...

When I was 10 years old, a friend taught me how to hand knit a chain out of yarn. I found it to be therapeutic for my anxiety, and started doing it all the time. I started rolling it into a ball around a folded note. 

20 years later, I never stopped crocheting the chain. Now the ball is 200 pounds and wider than a doorway. Because of its width, it stays in my van. The ball travels to different locations and events like knitting circles and art events.

I would like to officially attempt the record for Longest Finger Knitting. The current length to beat is a little over 12 miles . I estimate my ball to have double this. In order to make my record official, I need to get the chain measured. I have specific instructions from Guinness World Records that I need to follow. Ouch. So there it is all laid out. My ball is presumably double the current record. Without the resources to make this happen, I am in world record limbo. Please consider helping me achieve this dream I have had most of my life!
