Who am I?
I am an independent filmmaker from Dublin. I have a BA (HONS) in Film & Broadcasting from DIT. Little Devil is my second short film. My debut, "Battle Scars" won Best Undergraduate Drama at the Republic of Ireland Student Television Awards in March 2016.
What is Little Devil about?
Little Devil follows Ritchie, a teenager who has Autism. We follow Ritchie as he journeys from Dublin to Athlone in order to deliver a valuable item to his dying Grandmother.
His brother Finbar and their Mother Jennifer fear the worst and try to contact Ritchie who is preoccupied with his phone.
Finbar’s company van has broken down, Ritchie has disappeared and Jennifer resorts to drinking while Gran is counting her final minutes.
The question is: will Ritchie make it in time?
I wanted to tell a story of someone embarking on a journey and then decided to include a part of myself in the narrative. I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in early 2014.
What do we need funding for?
At this stage of post-production, we need to lock the picture, lay down post-production sound as well as completing the colour grade and musical score.
We need one final push over the hurdle!
