Little Ebony needs a chance at life

This is Ebony.

She is the sweetest and most intelligent cat I have ever met. She is just a little over a year old and was adopted at a shelter as a therapy cat over the summer by my roommate.

My roommate she is 20 years old and is supporting her college career on her own because her family does not support her in any of her endeavors.

I have been taking care of Ebony for about a month now. Today I had noticed she was limping. I took all the precautions necessary and we went to the animal hospital. There, I found out she had broken her leg. She is an indoor cat and has been very well cared for since she has been under my watch. I have no idea how this happened but I am devastated.

I have not been able to reach the owner. I am asking you for help because a decision needs to be made as soon as possible. If she is going to have surgery, it has to be done within a week, otherwise she needs to be put down.

I love Ebony with all my heart and since she isn't my pet I am unable to make such a rash decision. She is so young and has so much love to give.
