Lisa Browns Last Wishes Fund

$9,010 of $20,000 goal

Raised by 231 people in 27 months
I am starting this GoFundMe page for my wife Lisa Brown.  We started one last year for her medical bills and going to Cleveland Clinic.  We made the trip 5 times last year and 1 time to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami this year to see about a possible transplant.  None of the Dr's were able to help get Lisa back on the road to recovery.
As some of you may know, from previous articles, Lisa was in People Magazine last year spreading awareness for this HORRIBLE syndrome, SMAS. (Feel free to GOOGLE Lisa Brown SMAS, you will see all the articles about her) She was also later diagnosed with Gastroparesis.  She spent a lot of time trying to help others, which i know she has.  She dedicated so much time trying to cheer up anyone who was down.  She would handmake personal cards for people who were/are sick, down about something, or just needed a little brightness in their day.  She still continues to do this, however it is extremely hard for her to make time because she is so sick and weak.
This October she entered into hospice care because she was declining so quickly.  They have been trying to help keep her symptoms under control and trying their best to keep her pain free.  Her overall health has and is declining rapidly now.  I, her husband, am taking off of work on FMLA, and not getting paid, to spend the rest of the time she has with her.
I am starting this fund to help pay for anything that she may want to keep her happy and comfortable in the last days she will be with us.  It will also help cover the cost of her Memorial and for taking off work with no pay.  We appreciate any help you may be able to give.  I hope that her story has touch your life as i know it has for many people.
Thank you much,
The Browns

Today.....how do I start this? Today is the day that I can celebrate the life of the most amazing woman I have ever met. And how lucky am I to have spent 10+ years with this woman. She dedicated her sickness days to help raise awareness of this evil syndrome SMAS to help others. She would make cards to cheer people up. She did anything she could to help others when they needed it, to lift their spirits. She has also saved lives by bringing awareness of this syndrome.
I'm sorry I am not good at writing, which is why she would "help" me with my school papers :). But today I will never forget. Today marks the day where my best friend, my teammate, my wife is finally free from suffering and pain. She went to heaven peacefully with her family by her side. I would say an angel got her wings, but she was and is more than an angel.

I love you LiLi Luxe

I have been off work since Dec 6th to spend the remaining time my wife has with her. She has declined quite a bit since I took off and is now down to 77lbs. She isn't able to do much anymore but her heart is still strong. Drs are amazed she is still around with us. I will not be going back to work until she passes and is finally free from suffering. I am not getting paid for this time off so anything helps. I am trying to give her anything that might make her comfortable or happy. This is a very hard time for our family. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

In the name of Jesus, I command the spirit of SMAS to leave Lisa's body and that her body return to its perfect design and weight. I speak wholeness into her right now and cover her with the blood of Jesus. I command the spirit of death to leave and the spirit of life to encompass her and the room. I declare restoration and joy. TY Jesus!

I know you are probably frustrated with hearing all of the things you should try by now, but I had a similar illness of gastroparesis with autonomic dysfunction and was told there was nothing else they could do and my weight had dropped into the 80s even with a feeding tube. A friend of a friend told me to see a Chinese herbalist and within a few days of accupuncture and being on the herbs, I was eating much better and gaining weight. I know your situation isn't exactly the same, but I thought I should mention it anyway since a stranger mentioned it to me when I didn't have anything else to try and that was about 20 years ago.

Hi guys I'm so sorry your both having to go through this I'm very poorly with MALS which has the same symptoms to SMAS but it's a different compression not involving the duodenum. I'm flying out to have surgery in germany I was diagnosed with four artery compression out there by Prof scholbach he may be able to help you. He can do phone consultations if you can't travel? he knows some surgeons out there who perform a completly different surgery to the type they offer in the uk (where I'm from) and the US. I'm a member of the online community on Facebook for smas which you could join? But also even though you don't have MALS (mediate acurate ligament syndrome)

Sorry for your lost. I am a believer that people died when you take out them from your heart. I am sure she will always be in your heart. Hope you can remember the good times and pray to God to give you the strength to continue without her. She is free of pain and in peace.
