Lindsays Lung Transplant Fundraiser

I am a mother of a 6 and 7 year old. I have been married since January 27 2007. I am currently working on my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I love children and surround my days with them. I am a Cinnabar elementary board member and am going to be secretary for fall semester. I am in need of financial help because I have a rare heart condition called Primary Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. This heart condition effects my lungs and has put me in respiratory failure. There is no cure and without a double lung transplant I am not gaureented a life. I could die at any point because of the lack of oxygen supply and right artery function. I am on 24/7 Oxygen and IV therapy. I hope to get a double lung transplant that is successful and provides me a long and prosperous life. There are many risks of a double lung transplant under my current condition, including; loss of limb, 50% chance of death before operation, 50% chance of death during operation, and 50% death after operation. If I am successful in surviving the operation than PH patients like myself are considered one of the largest survival rates of lung transplantation. I am a very determined individual who hopes to see her sons get married and have babies. I want to be successful in the psychology world and be a successful business owner of a gift in Petaluma known as Home of The Chicken, which my husband and I have developed this year. I want to be able to get back to running and basketball. I would have been successful in track and basketball in high school if I did not suffer from this disease and easily would have gone onto college with scholarships. I am an outdoors person who enjoys walks, runs, skiing, hiking, fishing, crabing, camping, and much more. I also like to learn and often am called crazy for my continued pursuing of education in college while so ill. There is so much cost going through the transplant process, including; travel, living, and eating. Any donation is greatly appreciated and needed.
