Hitting the Ground for Hillary 2016

Hi everyone! For the last few months, I have been volunteering on the Hillary Clinton campaign. Besides the historic nature of her candidacy, I absolutely believe with all my heart that she will be the President we need to protect the rights of the marginalized, fight for common-sense gun regulation, and keep our alliances strong around the world. It pains me to imagine this country falling into the hands of Donald Trump, and I intend to do everything in my power to keep that from happening between now and November.
This summer, I was fortunate enough to get extended time off from work to go volunteer on the campaign. For five weeks, from July 1-August 4, I will be travelling 4,000 miles across most of the eastern swing states (NC, VA, PA, NH, OH, MI, IA, WI). I will spend 2-3 days in each canvassing, making phone calls, registering voters, and doing whatever I can to make sure that we leave no vote behind in our effort to win November, both up and down ballot.
That said, even keeping expenses to a minimum (including borrowing a car from a friend and arranging to stay on couches as much as possible), this trip is far from free. The "asking amount" here is enough to cover mileage (as calculated using my tentative route with Google Maps and the current reimbursement rate of 14 cents/mile for charitable volunteer work) and food/incidentals/tolls (~$20/day). Any amount of assistance you can give, whether it's $5 or $500, would make funding this trip exponentially easier. In doing so, you'd not only be helping me, but you'd be helping us all by making it less likely that Donald Trump gets anywhere near the White House. Note that any extra raised above the $1,200 amount will be donated to the Hillary Victory Fund to help downballot races.
