Lina's Cat Rescue is a small charity based in East Midlands, United Kingdom.
They work tirlessly to provide a safe and secure place for cats and kittens that are stray, abandoned or in need of urgent veterinary attention.
There are no cages or pens, each cat and kitten is placed in a foster care home to allow them to settle into family life and to experience love, warmth and safety (sometimes for the first time in their lives.)
Each cat is assessed while in a fosterers home, and will be microchipped, vaccinated and neutered before being placed up for adoption.
It is a non-profit organisation that relies completely on donations and fundraising.
So far we have helped 48 stray and abandoned kittens this year and 7 of which needed emergency medical attention (and we're only in July).
On kittens alone (under 6 months) We have spent approximately:
£240 on microchipping
£1440 vaccinating
£1500 on neutering
£390 routine vet checks.
Recently a member of the public contacted us about an injured kitten on an industrial site. Thanks to kind efforts by a local, and the care of our vets, ‘Stevie Nicks’ was rescued. However, we couldn’t save her leg, which needed amputating. By the time her adoption comes around, we expect her veterinary care to have cost nearly £500- money well spent, in our minds!

Where will my money be spent?
£5 will pay for one cat to be microchipped
£10 will pay for 4 cats to be treated for fleas
£15 will pay for one cats annual vaccinations
£27 will pay for one male cat to be neutered
£35 will pay for one female cat to be spayed
£??? Any emergency or unplanned treatment
Every single penny really does make a difference and allows the rescue to help more and more cats and kittens that cannot help themselves.
