Kai WANTS BIGGER BOOBS
I'm a transgender non-binary woman, and like with most women (cis or trans) my breasts are a significant part of how I feel about my body and how I present myself to the world.
In short, I'm unhappy with my boobs. They've stopped growing at C cups and, especially considering my height and wide frame, they just aren't proportional. Sometimes they feel even childish, just not good enough for a 31 y/o woman who wants to be proud of her body.
Why surgery?
I've been on Hormone Replacement Therapy for about six years now. The literature says breast growth on HRT stops at about five years, so they are not going to get any better without surgical intervention.
This is not an emergency. I'm mostly in a good place, mental health wise. It's breasts, not a heart effect. Ultimately, yes, this is cosmetic, but a cosmetic change that would have such a positive effect on how I feel about myself and how people see me.
Why £5250?
The goal is a low-balled placeholder of £5000 plus GoFundMe's 5%. I won't know the exact goal until after a consultation, though there are several places in Nottingham I can go to for the surgery. I am also not including money for lost income due to recovery which can be up to 2 weeks.
