Lily at bouldering nationals

Hi, my name is Lily and I am a 14-year old rock climber. I started rock climbing when I was 12 because it looked like a lot of fun. I worked hard and in 2016 I competed in a few bouldering competitions such as Tour de Block in Halifax, NS where I placed 2nd in my age category; after that, I won the Bloc on the Rock in St. John’s NL, and, most recently, I placed 4th in the Quebec provincials...and I am not even from Quebec :-)! The results in these competitions qualified me to go to the nationals next month (February 2017) in Vancouver.

My ever increasing passion for climbing is inspiring me to train harder and compete with greater ferocity in 2017. The nationals will be a real test of my skills and determination, and if I do good I may be asked to join the National Team and represent Canada at international competitions.

Please help me fulfill my dreams of being able to compete with the best in Canada and maybe even the World!
