On January 22, 2012 Kevin M. Hardin passed away in his home, that resides in Copperas Cove, Texas. Kevin passed away due to accidental overdose, due to his injuries he endured overseas. He was injured in Samarra, Iraq in 2007 by an RPG ( anti tank missel ), and was sent to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Kevin received 2 surgeries in Germany, and 34 surgeries at WRAMC. He served with the 1st Cav based out of Ft. Hood, Tx, where he was a Combat Medic.

In 2008, Lillian Hardin was at WRAMC attending her cousin, who was a soldier, being her temporary care giver. At that time is when Kevin and Lillian first met. When Lillian no longer needed to be her cousins caregiver, her and Kevin began their beautiful journey together. At first it was just Lillian helping Kevin due his daily living, then they grew to love eachother. Lillian became Kevin's caregiver before he was medically retired from the Army, and discharged from WRAMC.

Kevin and Lillian moved to Ft. Hood, Texas in 2009 after his discharge from the Army. Kevin loved being a soldier so much and loved his job, he wanted to be close to what he knew. He did it out of love for all of his other battle buddies who were stationed at Ft. Hood. August 29, 2009, Kevin proposed to Lillian. They went and had a small ceremony at the court house in Copperas Cove, Tx, April 16, 2010.

Kevin's mother knew they deserved to have an actual wedding, with family and friends who cherished them. Christmas can cure, and Say yes to the dress was soon involved in their love story, and made their wedding dreams come true. Kevin and Lillian were aired on Say Yes to the Dress, to find Lillian's perfect wedding gown. The episode was Sticker Shock.

On November 13, 2010, Kevin and Lillian had their second ( real ) wedding at Eureka Casino Resort in, Mesquite, Nv.

January 22, 2012 was the day Lillian endured the most heart breaking, devastating life event, when she found her husband on their bedroom floor not responding. This changed her life entirely. Now at almost 4 years of his death, she is experiencing a hardship. Kevin didn't have his life insurance policy though the Va at the time before marrying Lillian... And felt that he would have never needed it. Lillian didn't receive anything in his death besides their home, a vehicle, and spousal pay from the Va. The home they bought together is solely in Kevin's name at the moment. At this time, she is struggling to pay her bills, on top, the homeowners insurance on the home, wants her to pay $2,000  and due to her not being able to touch her husband escrow account, she can't financially afford to pay it. She is scared to loose the one thing that is tying her to her husband, and that is the home they had together.  Lillian is not named on the  mortgage of the home, but has made every payment to keep the home.

Lillian works, attends college to become a nurse, and also attends many therapy sessions. Since Kevin's death she is living through a nightmare.  She endures nightmares, and has been diagnosed with PTSD, and anxiety.

If you could find it in your hearts to help, donating just a $1 could help ease her mind. If a donation can not be made, we request that you send a prayer for her. Thank you, and God Bless! Xoxoxoxo
