Light Up Jennifer's Life!

My mother, Jennifer, has a rare genetic condition called Erythropoietic Protoporphyria (EPP) . This disorder causes my mom to have an "allergic" reaction to sunlight that causes her extreme pain and suffering. Very recently the EPP has gotten worse and now ALL LIGHT (sunlight, lightbulbs, computer screens, fluorescent lights, LED lights, etc.) is causing her intense physical pain and mental anguish. My mother cannot go outside, to the store, to work, or even spend time with her children in her own home due to this crippling disorder.

So far, the only treatment for EPP is not available in the United States. However, it is available in Switzerland! The drug to treat my mother's condition is called Scenesse (Afamelanotide) . Unfortunately this treatment is extremely expensive and can only be accessed in Switzerland. We need YOUR help to raise money to pay for this expensive treatment! With access to Scenesse my mother will finally be able to live her life like any other person. She will be able to spend time with her family, return to work, or do simple things like run to the store or get the mail on a sunny afternoon. The treatment would allow my mother to advocate for herself and others who are suffering with EPP.

My mother should not be forced to live her life in the shadows any longer! Please, help my mother reclaim her body and her life.
