Grannys w big need of RV 4 family

Donation protected

Over a span of 40 years my sis and I have always figured out how to pay rent & bills first then whatever was left for food clothes, household to provide for our kids & now Grand-kids w special needs. (her biological she adopted 4 years ago...)
I'm taking a leap of fate doing this to help my family. I live on a small fixed income.
The housing program (for people with  Developmental disabilities-Dominic)  we have been on was supposed to be permanent. As of last year because of funding issues,it was to last 2 years. As of this month was told it ends THIS JUNE. We cannot afford to pay full rent in this rental house. We have fixed the fence (and other things, out of our own pocket) to keep our family safe. I made this page thinking we had 2 years to save/raise funds to buy a small motor home. At this point in time we will be traveling in our 12 year old Suv,with our family and 2 companion pups, and my rescue companion Guinea Pig.
We need help to buy a small but reliable RV to take our family from Oregon to live in a smaller warmer community. It will save money not to have to stay in motels. we can stay in it while looking for a house to rent in Mississippi.

Cheryl & I have been in Kathy and Dominic 's life since birth. We want them to Grow & reach their full potential. Taking them out of the foster care system, and having to give up her Job to devote the time to do this. She is 65,I'm 64.
Please watch to understand who we are.
The news showed up as we were paying it forward!

Cheryl has worked for the U.S Forrest service fighting fire, and a Supermarket chain that was sold after 14 years of service to them. As others she was downsized and her position phased out. And worked many jobs in between to provide for this family.
I am  a grandma who wears many hats! Disabled though have worked in Health care and other jobs.Have done  writing, activism always working hard to find a job, where I could afford to buy needed medicines never came through. We both worked hard for whatever company it was.

I became  Dom's certified respite caregiver with background checks I of course passed.( I was caring for him anyway,)then DDS(developmental disability services  offered me  to be paid for it. I reported my income to SSI . The bottom line was I can only earn $ 85 a month (social security takes half of the rest) I had to quit after a year,Because the subcontracted company that paid me,didn't always have funds to cover my pay checks(or others)  and  Social Security can't explain why to any of the agencies I went to-Why they say I owe them 5 Grand. and have been taking a lot of my $750.00 check "To pay them back". I have many health issues including PTSD and have chosen counseling to deal with it all since my 20's.
We continue to give the children the best care and Education possible.
3 years ago we were living in our van,Cheryl worked. We had great folks in agency's to help us get back on our feet.
As we also worked the programs with dedication.  Taking  time and patience and determination to teach and help the children.
Dominic went from 3 words to a vocabulary of many! He is funny and very well spoken. For awhile I worked on a blog sharing what I had learned about Autism and how to help him and others with my writing.
We lived in the south for almost 20 years. When the economy dropped we came back here where we had also lived for 20 years. It has changed much and we were almost broken into 3 times in the space of 2 weeks.
The weather is bad-- very cold and wet. Dom has respiratory problems (He stopped breathing 3 times at birth.)

WE spend at least 14-16 hours a day 7 days a week giving Dom & Kathryn love ,cooking from scratch. giving culture and cleaning teaching Nursing & humor.
Kat is very bright at 14 yet has struggled much on a personal level. She is going to an alternative school and both children look forward to living again in the south!
.

Cheryl & I thank you so much for your time and caring in this matter! Sometimes you just have to go on faith! We have done our best to Pay it forward to others in our life. And need some Help now . Be well.Best regards Fertig-Powers Family.

I am pouring out my heart for a miracle we need.
