Lieutenant Dennis Devoe
Lt. DeVoe passed away this evening from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on March 10, 2017 while responding to a house fire in the City of Harrisburg. He was surrounded by his family and close friends at the time of his passing.
Denny was a leader in the department and the fire service as a whole. His passion for the fire service made others strive to be better. The department and the city of Harrisburg are better because of his service.
Please keep his family and the members of the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve the loss of such a courageous man.
This is absolutely horrible he was on the way to help a bunch of kids get out of a burning building in which one of the girls died from the fire she was 4 years old he could have been the difference in her life being saved that day as well the DUI driver needs to be punished very harshly she killed a father and may have assisted in taking fire fighters away from the fire that killed that little girl the fire fighters had not only a bunch of children to save but also had a friend to worry about this is for sure a horrible twist of fate if you can call it fate
I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for your family. It is amazing that you were able to raise all the funds needed! I hope that maybe now there may be donations made to the family who tragically lost everything in the fire. Prayers to all those involved.
Sending prayers for all involved rip brother
