Hello to you!
My name is Levi Everett. I haven’t been born yet, but I have quite a story to tell!
My mom’s name is Megan, and my Dad’s name is Ken. They have been waiting for 8 years to have a baby, and finally here I am. They seem really nice, laugh a lot, and tell me all about the fun things we will do together. I hear that I have two dogs, two cats, and some fish to be my friends when I come out. I don’t know what those things are, but it sounds cool.
When I was 20 weeks old, still in Mom’s tummy, the doctors told my Mom and Dad that I have a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. The left side of my heart doesn’t work right, and is too small. They say that I will need three open heart surgeries, one right after I am born. I will have to stay in the hospital for quite a long time, maybe months, before I can go home.
I don’t know what money is yet, but it sounds like we need some to pay the doctors and so Mom and Dad can stay with me. I am so excited to be part of a world where people help each other, it seems like a great place. Maybe I will get to meet you one day soon!
