Leukemia Treatment for Mrs. Cherukupalli

Leukemia (Blood Cancer) treatment for Mrs. Suseela Cherukupalli

Who are we and how we know Mrs. Cherukupalli:
Myself, Nishikant Gunjal and my friend Nitin Joshi, both are associated with the Sanatan Mandir's volunteer team. Sanatan Mandir is a local Hindu Temple in Smyrna, GA. We know the priest Mr. Srinivas Cherukupalli and his wife Mrs. Cherukupalli very well.

How the funds will be disbursed:

We have setup Mr. Srinivas Cherukupalli as the sole beneficiary of this campaign. The money received from this Gofundme campaign will directly go into Mr. Cherukupalli's bank account.

Mr. Srinivas Sarma Cherukupalli is a priest at the Sanatan Mandir Atlanta, GA, USA. He lives in Smyrna, GA along with his wife Mrs. Suseela Cherukupalli and their college-going daughter. Priest Cherukupalli is fondly known among devotees as Srinivas ji, who always greets them with a smile and does his temple duties in a joyful manner, with his wife Mrs. Cherukupalli helping him out at the temple as well.

All was well for this family until tragedy struck in May 2019 when Mrs. Cherukupalli suddenly fell ill and was taken to the Emory hospital, where she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Leukemia is cancer of blood-forming tissues, including bone marrow.  This type of cancer usually gets worse quickly if it is not treated.

Mrs. Cherukupalli’s current condition is extremely serious and she is currently admitted in Emory Hospital, Atlanta, GA. She has been at the hospital for the past 2 weeks as of writing this post and her total stay is expected to be of 6 weeks minimum for the intensive chemotherapy, which she needs to survive.

With just the 15 day stay, the current bills have already accounted for approximately $32,000 with more expected at the end of the 4-6 weeks stay is completed. The main treatment for most types of AML is chemotherapy, sometimes along with a targeted therapy drug. This might be followed by a stem cell transplant.

This ‘intensive’ chemotherapy often means having to stay in the hospital for long periods with occasional breaks at home. Treatment may be given in cycles for 2 to 3 years until the disease is cured. This recurring therapy causes patients and their families to suffer from a great burden of financial hardship. The prospect of a long hospital stays added with recurring treatment means a large financial conflict for this family with the cost of single treatment ranging into thousands of dollars a month.

This is an opportune time for anyone with a kind heart to make a difference for this family who has devoted their lives for the service of God Almighty. I feel if we can reduce some financial burden from this family by making whatever donation we can, when added up together it will make an enormous difference to them. So please donate and if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and we hope you will support this cause!
